The Starks were right. Now that the stairs and beam are in, we're working hard towards getting ready for insulation. The furring to thicken the walls is complete on the main floor and almost done upstairs. Fortunately, brother-in-law John showed up and helped with some of the window frames, which involve more cuts and take more time. After that, a few details remain before we put the pink stuff in.
The corners of the upstairs pop-out (it's a story and a half) are a bit tricky with lots of angles to figure and cut accurately, but it is coming along in fits and spurts. I'm back in the field at work spending long days on the rivers electrofishing (another blog about that so I won't explain here) so weeknight house work is getting tougher. This would be so much easier if we didn't have real jobs to deal with.
The long weekend is a couple of days away and we're hoping to get tons done, and maybe sneak in an ice cream along the way.
